Buying a home in January or February opposed to the summer can save you more than $20,000 in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to NerdWallet. This is from a September study the firm conducted that showed how much cheaper homes are in the winter.
The average home price in DFW is $214,465 in the summer, NerdWallet said, and it drops 9.7 percent to $193,750 in January. The Forbes research indicates that Dallas property values will increase by 31% in the next 3 years. Jacksonville, FL is a close second in their predictions, with an expected appreciation of 30% and Orlando, FL is third at 28%. They estimate average US home value increase to be 17% over the next 3 years.
